LED 2017 was a successful event for students and Pointlogic. Our Brandpoint automotive case was well received by students and hopefully future candidates.
National Econometricians Day (in Dutch: Landelijke Econometristendag, abbreviated as LED) took place at Jaarbeurs & Beatrix Theater Utrecht.
The LED will give you the opportunity to get in contact with potential employers by means of company cases, a lunch, a networking drink and a recruitment dinner. More than 30 companies active in various fields of econometrics, operations research, finance and actuarial sciences, will offer you the opportunity to explore an extremely wide range of companies.
The case that Pointlogic has presented during the LED was based on a real life project. Our client is an automotive brand that wants to optimise their brand positioning and communication strategy. During the case we worked with actual consumer research data on brand preferences and opinions. Students were asked to analyse this data and use modelling and other statistical techniques to find relations between consumer preferences and opinions. The results needed to be translated to a strategic advice for the client.
